Llacao/Ecuador
In the parish of llacao, many families live under very simple conditions. Starting from the tree planting project of last year (Cuenca), Father Teodoro Delgado also asked families in his parish to help. This gave rise to the idea of giving poor families 6 trees that they can plant, grow, and harvest on their own responsibility. It is up to them to take care of the daily feeding on the plate. On July 9, 2026, the trees were handed over to their intended purpose, with the assignment to plant them within the next few days. On July 22, 2026, I will visit the village again to convince them of the importance of the work and to motivate the people to take care of their trees. It is their valuable asset—but for the good of everyone.
