The birthday tree according to the Celtic tree circle is the fir tree for the period 02 to 11 January. I was born on 5 January, my great-niece Theresa on 10 January. What could be more natural than planting our birthday tree together? (Theresa's grandad / my brother-in-law Herbie helped us with this.) The fir people are kind, full of harmony, can (supposedly) think rationally, are ambitious, talented, hard-working, and they have many other good qualities. Perhaps these can be gleaned from the sign at the top right of the picture. But above all: they have a basic trust in life. Theresa and I will visit the tree, look after it, marvel at it and enjoy it.
