At the end of August 2025, tree circle source Tim Martina was able to discover a sound wood forest in Vorarlberg with Andreas and Petra and take away a lot of know-how, experiences and adventures for the tree circle around the world.

300-year-old tree treasures
It was simply WONDERFUL with the lovely forester Petra and forestry director Andreas in the Vorarlberg forest! Sooo nice to feel how Andreas loves „his“ forest and the forest loves him. He works a lot with horses, takes out individual trees and makes sure that as many age groups of trees as possible are represented. There are many „treasures“ here that are over 300 years old, as he calls them. The largest contiguous forest suitable for sound wood in the Alps, which Andreas has looked after for 12 years. The guitar from the forest
In the evening, there was a spontaneous guitar concert at the Blockhüsle with a French picnic. Together with the lovely foresters, Andreas‘ son and super nice friends who transport sound wood to northern Germany with their lorry company.
I played Andreas‘ beautiful guitar, the top of which comes from this forest. He had to cut it down years ago in the middle of summer because its top was infested with beetles. At the time, he personally searched for a musical instrument maker who valued its beautiful wood. He stayed in contact with him and now has this wonderful guitar, which he also sees as a family heirloom.
