Tree circle around the world

Many more trees, especially in places where they don't (or no longer) grow, for example in the city. Or in the fields. And trees that thrive. And people who enjoy looking at them and sitting under them in the cool. And planting. And insects and birds that need and love them as much as we do.

My vision:
- Lots of trees in the city and town centres
- Avenues, roads with fewer lanes but more "tree tracks"
- Small fields in the countryside and groves of trees in between
- Untouched forests where the trees are left to their own devices
- Fewer highly cultivated monocultures, more diversity in the forest
- Much more knowledge about the wonder of the "tree"
- Make timber utilisation more species-appropriate again, less use of "harvesting machines" (harvesters)
- Many forest kindergartens, forest schools and forest age centres

My idea of the tree circle around the world is,
... that many trees are planted by many different people in many different countries - perhaps even with the idea of doing this for the good of the people and the world, and to bring blessings
... that the people who plant these trees can feel connected through the tree circle and the certainty that they are not alone in their desire for more trees but are part of a circle of people for whom this is also important
... that in every city (or at least in every country) a tree of the "tree circle around the world" grows
... that there are many more trees overall - in the streets, in the cities, in the meadows, between the fields, on the mountains - and that trees are a natural part of the landscape
... that there are opportunities to experience and marvel at trees and forests from an early age (forest kindergarten, forest garden, forest schools, forest workshops, ...)
... that we all treat trees and forests with care
... that a kind of bond develops between people and trees, and that (living) trees become important for people
... that trees and forests are perceived and experienced as "oases" - and are therefore protected and considered worthy of protection
... that we open up the possibility for a collection of tree stories from around the world that inspire people to engage more with trees and to plant and protect some themselves
... a rethink is taking place in forestry towards more self-renewing, naturally healthy forests
... many people love trees

It also occurs to me that I think it would be nice if we could visualise the fact that our trees connect the generations. That we encourage other people

A life without trees would be a cold life. Without birds, without beetles, without worms. I'm not just interested in the trees, but in the life that trees make possible. For other plants, for animals and for us humans. I think of the wonderful leaves, the fruit and the scent - in spring and autumn, when we can smell that nature is changing from one cycle to another. With our tree circle, I want to connect us humans and take care of other living beings. To stand together for the idea that we can still plant a tree today - to paraphrase Luther - even if we knew that the world would end tomorrow.

For me, the Baumkreis um die Welt is an association that connects people and initiatives who are involved with trees and forests, either professionally or privately. We are not experts, but we are driven by a love of the forest and the joy of working. I therefore see our main task as being to interest and sensitise people who are not directly involved with the topic (e.g. senior citizens, families, children, socially disadvantaged people or refugees) to the topic. To invite people to feel the beneficial world of the forest, to understand its role model function as a living community and to experience the diversity, beauty and uniqueness of trees.

I see a forest in which people and trees are connected. The trees heal the people. People are connected from heart to heart, with heaven and earth. Water has returned through the trees and you can hear the gurgling of a stream and music. We have planted this forest!
